Here we have a beautiful handmade piece of Scientific Equipment. This device uses high voltage to ionize and negatively charge air molecules. The hand assembled electronic 24 stage Cockcroft-Walton multiplier circuit here generates about negative 7000 volts. Controlled studies have reported greater subjective well-being in an artificially negatively-ionized environment, though the reason for this is unknown. Negative ions have been shown to aid in odour removal. The spinning operation helps to distribute the charged air molecules. The power cord is equipped with special rubber and copper mountings and is lashed with linen twine at the split. ylzxmrw.com I really like this air cleaner. I have used several other models (sharper image, honeywell, etc.) and this is my favorite. I usually use level 1 at night, and level 2 during the day when I am home. Levels 3 and 4 are a bit loud. I like that I can program it to run for a certain amount of time and not have to worry about turning it off. On really hot days, i will actually program it to run for a few hours to keep the house cool for my pets.
