I was given an IonicPro,but read that consumer reports rated ionic breeze,same machine,lowest of all air cleaners.Will this machine produce a bad amount of ozone?It really smells after awhile.Ozone can hurt the lungs and respiratory system.Also,what air cleaner will help with the dust you see floating in the air?Besides in duct system,Thanks

I’m living off campus in a typical college house this semester, and I’ve had asthma my whole life, I’m also on the cross country team at my college. The last month or two (aka. since i moved into my house) my asthma has seemed to be worse…just all-around symptoms. What are some steps I can take to improve my symptoms in the house / my bed room? Hi all – I’m looking to buy an air purifier for my bedroom (just over 150 sq.ft.), to help reduce dust, airborne allergens, etc. My mother smokes a lot, which also doesn’t help. Having been diagnosed with a (very) minor, restrictive lung disease, I’d like to start taking better care of my health – especially in regards to respiration. We do have the general air filter attached to the A/C / heating unit, but I would like something more.
Doing some research, I thought I would just get the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze, but have read many terrible things about it – specifically, the ozone produced is VERY bad for your health. Anyone owns the new sharper image "Hybrid GP" air purifier? is it working well? does the "ozone guard" work? I’ve read and heard so many scary stories about the ozone is toxic. Does the sharper Image’s ionic breeze purifier dangerous? any suggestions?
I’m looking for an air filter that will trap mold, dust, allergens, etc. as well as reduce odors. My apartment is about 650 sq. ft. so all the kitchen smells disperse through the whole place. I don’t want one of those ionic purifiers that create a lot of ozone which is even worse for you than the dust and mold. If anyone has a website that I can get reviews, I’d appreciate that too.
