ionic breeze air purifier burning smell inside. PLEASE HELP!!!!?

i have an ionic breeze s1830 air purifier. when i turn it on, i can see something arcing on the bottom, and then i can smell hot plastic. there is a melted spot on the plastic on the bottom of the filter. if you need to see pictures or a video of the air purifier, please let me know (i will need your email address). my email address is: nathanjudge@att.net thanks.
i contacted the company, and they said that the company has filed bankruptcy, and that they could not help me. i have it unplugged, and i have tried cleaning it.

Unplug right now. Fire danger is great. Contact company.
Assuming you’ve cleaned it, then it’s shorting out and you should quit using it, unplug it and call the company for service. The melted spot is telling you it’s getting very hot and at some point you may have a fire.
Response: If there is no way to get it repaired, just throw it away.
